The Horses
Meet Our Animals
At Kiddy Up we currently have three horses, two bunnies, and two cats. We are hoping to expand and bring in more animals in the near future.
Grace
Gracie is a large pony, weighing 400 Ibs, and is 13 hands tall. She loves to work and takes good care of her riders.
Merlot
Meet Merlot he is a burgundy colored gelding horse, who is 15 years old and 15 hands tall. He enjoys going on trail rides, swimming and spending time with Grace.
Snowball & Herby
Please welcome our bunnies Snowball and Herby. They are outdoor bunnies that live in a large rabbit pin. Their diet consists of hey and vegetables.
Cash
Meet our newest horse, Cash! He is a Thoroughbred horse, measuring 16 hands tall and 900 lbss, which makes him the tallest horse ar the Kiddy Up With Horses Ranch.
In Memory Of Our Horses
Since Kiddy Up With Horses started back in 2013, we lost two of our beloved horses, Angel and Peanut. Read more about their stories below.
Angel
In 2009, Kiddy Up's founder Ada Albright acquired Angel as a rescue mare. For years Angel gave ridding lessons to children in Montgomery County Maryland.
Before Kiddy Up With Horses was established, Angel inspired the mission behind our organization through her interactions with children.
Peanut
Peanut was a mini gelding (male) Shetland pony standing 31 inches tall. He gave countless rides to children up to 50 lbs at birthday parties, and community events over the years. Peanut also had experience pulling a horse cart.
